Matt — or "Coffee Bean", as we like to call him — has a Degree in classical guitar performance from Columbia College. He has been performing solo classical guitar and as accompanist for vocals, violin, flute for the past 17 years. But don't be confused by this rocker's classical background — it just means he actually knows what notes he's playing when he's jammin' in all the various rock, blues, and jazz combos that have been lucky enough to have him over the past two decades.
He teaches guitar and piano and also teaches elementary and middle school music at King Lab and Nichols Middle School in Evanston, IL. Also a member of the rhythm section for the choir of St. Alphonsus Church in Chicago, he's never "bean" so excited to play in a band as this one!
