Photo of Paul Bivans.I've been playing drums since I was a kid — played my first club gig when I was 16. After playing in a few progressive rock bands including Big Picture, I met Anna Fermin in 1994 and have been recording and touring with her band Trigger Gospel ever since.

I also play locally with Chicago Percussion Quintet, Bunkertown, Archer & Spade, and the Andon Davis Trio. When time allows, I freelance with regional orchestras, recording projects, and private teaching. I've been fortunate to have toured here in the States as well as Taiwan, Norway, and France.

My time as a Jelly Bean has been a real treat! Having worked with Jeanie on a few recording sessions, I now have the pleasure of playing with her band live. Everyone in the band has been very welcoming. She has a great connection with the kids — the live show is a hoot!
